These A3 drawings done in fine art pen on paper, depict 27 High Street, Auckland CBD. Completed for a pop up exhibition in the thoroughfare area behind the club Cassett 9, inside the building itself. Inspired by the building and the inevitability of its demise Grace wanted to capture something of its quintessence. Her works pay homage to the exterior of 27 High Street and its gradual gentrification since its construction in 1885. An ordinary building of its time, its beauty is now easily overlooked, humbled within its ever-changing concrete jungle setting. These works sold on opening night.
